Foreign Investors Explore Marine Investment Opportunities at Colombo Port and Port City

Coinciding with the Voyage Sri Lanka 2025 Marine Summit, a delegation of 10 foreign investors from countries including India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Oman toured the Colombo Port and Port City on October 15. The visit aimed to showcase Sri Lanka’s potential and opportunities for investment as a hub for marine services. The delegation explored opportunities across various sectors, including marine and offshore services, and boat manufacturing.
Organized for the second time by the Sri Lanka Export Development Board (SLEDB) in collaboration with key stakeholders in the marine and offshore sector, the Marine Summit will be held on October 16, 2025, at the Kingsbury Hotel, Colombo. The summit highlights Sri Lanka’s contribution to the blue economy and its potential as a global marine hub.

The summit focuses on Sri Lanka’s expertise in marine and aquaculture services, as well as its strengths in the boat and shipbuilding industries. Bringing together stakeholders from both public and private sectors, the summit facilitates discussions on sustainable practices, cutting-edge technologies, and investment opportunities in these vital sectors.
