
MOSCOW, March 10. /TASS/. Exports of agriculture products from Russia to African countries increased by 19% in 2024 to over $7 bln, based on expert estimates, the Agroexport federal center reported.
“According to expert estimates, Russian exports of agriculture products to African countries exceeded $7 bln in 2024, having increased by 19% compared with 2023. Domestic food was supplied to 45 states of the continent,” the report said.
Egypt remains the largest purchaser of Russian agriculture products, the center added. In particular, Russian exports of agriculture products to the country rose by 21% in 2024 in value terms. “Egypt is one of the leaders among importers of Russian wheat,” the report said. On the list of top five importers of Russian food in Africa Egypt is followed by Algeria, Libya, Kenya, and Tunisia.
